Today’s translation is of a song called 你笑起来真好看, you look so good when you smile. The song was first written and performed by child prodigy 李昕融 10 year old Li Xin Rong and her family.
The song 你笑起来真好看 you look so good when you smile became an instant hit and has become a popular tune across the world. The cheerful tone of the song has made it the perfect antidote to the lockdown blues.
The performance in the video took place during the 2021 Labour Day Gala in China. Labour day is a public holiday in China and is celebrated on the 1st of May each year. Usually there is a televised performance featuring dance, songs and poetry.
